There were 11 groups comprising of 2 students each. Each group pursued a project of their interest, provided it came under the purview of the course "Evolution of Biological Machines". Detailed reports were made and some are being considered for being published in peer review journals.
UG Seminar Series (March-April 2005)
The UG students are divided into 4 groups and each group presents a seminar on a topic of their choice.This event was very successfully completed by the pioneer batch this year.The topics of their seminar included Umbilical Cord Stem Cells,How the Brain Creates the Mind,Transplantation in the Central Nervous System and Totally Artificial Heart. These seminars lasted for an hour each and were attended in huge numbers by the faculty, MTech and the PhD students.Click for more details..
The department constantly is bombarded with speakers who lead the revolution in the field of BioSciences and BioEngineering.This year was specially hectic with visitors from Singapore,Sweden,CCMB,Johns Hopkins and a lot more.Click for details..
Every year begins with welcoming the fresher's of the department with a grand party.The fresher's this year gave several startling performances ranging from dance to drama to songs..and what more the songs of the Faculty made the show vibrate with energy.Not to forget the food was great too.
Ruksat..the farewell
The outgoing batch is finally kicked out after this function..we mean bid adieu with lots of good wishes and hopes.This year's Ruksat was marked specially with lots of nostalgia and emotions overflowed.
