Aerospace Engineering Doctoral Students’ Symposium

Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur is organizing "Aerospace Engineering Doctoral Students’ Symposium" on 12th and 13th May 2014 at IIT Kanpur.

The symposium provides a platform for the doctoral students to present their research work and interact with research students from other institutions.

NASA Astronaut Michael Foreman Visits Department

Students of the department got an opportunity to meet and interact with NASA Astronaut Michael J. Foreman visiting the campus to deliver his lecture in Techkriti'13 (IITK Techfest) in the department.

First Ever AHS Student Chapter in India

Student chapter of American Helicopter Society (AHS) has been started in the department with efforts from students interested in Rotorcraft research. This is first student chapter for AHS in India. 

Successful Organization of ICIUS 2013

Department of Aerospace Engineering IIT Kanpur organized the 9th International Conference on Intelligent Unmanned Systems (ICIUS 2013) 25-27 September 2013 in the beautiful pink city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. ICIUS 2013 was jointly organised by Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Aeronautics Research and Development Board, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Department of Science and Technology – in collaboration with the International Society of Intelligence Unmanned Systems (ISIUS).

IIT Kanpur Signs Agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)

A Technology Cooperation Initiative agreement has been signed by Aerospace Engineering Department IIT Kanpur with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to take the Autonomous Helicopter project beyond its first phase.
