Instrument Slot Booking
Procedure for users from Outside IITK for availing the facility
Users from outside IITK should write to either the convener or any one of the co-
ordination committee members. The facility has an "Envisioned Policy" to make about
20-25% of the time on the instrument available to "Outside IITK Users", with particular
preference to Academic Institutions. Slots will be made at the earliest time as per the
existing demands on the instrument. Efforts to provide time within 2 weeks of the formal
confirmed request will be made.

The data will be sent by "Indian speed post" after the experiments and completed. No
data processing responsibility will be taken up. User is welcome to come and do this
exercise in our Lab with prior co-ordination. The raw data in system format, data save
in text or ASCII format along with one set of colour printout of spectra will be posted at
our earliest convenience. Advance payment of usage charges is mandatory. Users are
request to avoid unnecessary communications through emails/phones. The Facility is
already striving to give its users "the best of services".
