OBJECTIVE

The overall objective of the research project is to combine the cutting edge technologies of fabrication and testing of novel glass-ceramics with the knowledge of basic cell biology in order to investigate the effect of cation substitution in the structure and biocompatibility (in vitro and in vivo) of a calcium containing aluminosilicate glass and glass ceramic that has shown already potential in bone replacement and repair.

All the collaborators express their gratitude to UK India Education Research Initiativefor financial aid.
