Information Technology has been one of
the most important factors in the human development in the recent
past in India and world over. It has brought about greatest
changes in the human life and has now become chief determinant of
the progress.
IT is changing every aspect of human
life - culture, education, communications, manufacturing,
services, entertainment, research and national defence. The potential of Information
Technology has been recognised for all-round national development.
In the Indian perspective, still lot
more efforts are to be made to improve the affordability i.e.,
better technology at lower cost. This can be achieved by
having more private participation, competitiveness and
supporting government policies.
