3i-network is a combined endeavor of three institutes namely Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Infrastructure development Finance Company Limited, Bombay and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad to provide a systematic and organized framework in which much of the new agenda can be enunciated and researched with a view to contribute immediately to the unfolding infrastructure climate. The objective of the 3i-netwrok is to take advantage and to enhance the existing intellectual capital working in infrastructure sector and to augment interaction between academia and industry in the country. Its mission is to provide directions for policy formulation, development and management of infrastructure systems in India with long term perspective. It will serve as a think tank of technological and managerial issues related to infrastructure sectors of Indian economy.
To provide an up-to-date status of infrastructure in India, 3i-network would publish "Indian Infrastructure Development Report", annually. The report would include important papers on the conceptual basis for commercializing infrastructure services using both domestic and international contributors through a series of background seminars.
